icrc17

I have been doing simple origami models for a while now.
When I initially started doing it, I used make a lot of shirts and dresses.
So when I saw ICR’s shaped cards challenge and the inspiration from DT, I decided to make another dress.
I had to modify the original model a bit, so that I could use two different DPs for the bodice and the skirt.
The pearls are locally bought and the DPs are from Paper Mania (not sure)

Here is the side view-

Since I don't have any sentiment stamps, I used one sticker which went with the color theme.

Before  I got onto the dress, I made a small paper bag. I intended to give it to a friend with some goodies inside.
Couldn’t catch her before she left for vacation.

I used local card stock. the buttons are from stash. DP is from Imagination store. The ribbon is from the goodies bag I won during ICR Birthday celebrations.

Beyond grey

A quick one for this challenge in beyondgrey.
I used the chipboard from a scrapbooking kit and the other stars are from a sticker leaf bought locally.
The ribbon was bought on last trip to Mumbai.
The sentiment is hand written.
Sorry for the bad picture quality. but my camera refused to take a clear picture.

Black and White

I wanted to try the sketch on prickleypear since I saw ujjwal's card.
I had started working on a card but kinda got lost.
I ruined couple of papers while getting those curves.
So when I saw the pastry box, I jumped with joy.. the upper flap had these two sides with curves..yay..

I just grabbed the box before my brother could throw it away..cut one of the sides.
The cardstock , white paper, black paper, ribbon everything is recycled from stuff I had refused to throw away in past.

The card stock is actually a big scrap left from chart paper. I had this for what…4 years now J
The white paper I have used for mat comes from a pamphlet that came with news paper. (I have loads of them)
The black paper is the back-sheet from the stamps I bought recently. The paper has some floral print on it.. my camera refused to pick it up.

The black dots on the white paper you see are actually my bindis (although they don’t go so well with the card… I  left them there)
The pearls are locally bought and the sticker comes from a scrapbook kit.

colourQ challenge #130

When I saw the colors on colourq challenge, I knew what I wanted to do for this one.
I had recently bought these punches from Neha and wanted to give them a try.
So, here it is---

I punched the balloons from local card stock. The certainly celery colored balloon was punched from a patterned paper. The sentiment is hand written using the glitter pen I had for ages. Button is from stash. the twine/ribbon is from the blog hop I won. I had bought the border punch and while trying to make something else, this punched scrap came along. since my card was looking kinda bare, I decided to put the punched scrap at the left.

Color throwdown

I love colour challenges..they are easier than the sketch challenges.
And I love Patterned Papers. I dont think I would ever create anything without a DP :)

So here's the card for colorthrowdown#183
The stamp is from the giveaway package I recieved from Ujjwal. Since I dint have proper craft paper, I used one of the groceries bag :).
Since it has craft paper, I am taking it to -- pink-elephant-tpe140.
Also, the checks on the DP makes it eligible for challenge-132-check-it-out-jane

And I made one for cr84fn50-week-2
Sorry for the bad picture quality. :(
For this I followed the sketch from The Deconstructed Sketch--43

Card Pattern-Sketch-154

It is easier for me to follow a sketch. And here is my take on cardpatterns--sketch-155

I wanted to spice up the red circle.. but I dint realise until late that I had glued it down :(

I also made something else... This one goes to challenge4blooming-gorgeousness

This one was little fun. I had bought the flowers from a local shop and lace is recycled.
The DPs are from Aditya's store and handcut the grass pattern.

Blues

Yeah.. I am feeling that.... It's so tiring to reach home at 9.30 ...dine and then start searching the boxes for that perfect paper. I stay up late till 1 at night and feel so groggy during work hours next day. I tell myself that I need to sleep, but the thought of those beautiful cards made by other crafters keep me awake and push me to try that beautiful card I saw on someone else's blog.

Anyways.. I have been visiting lots of challenge blogs ..looking for inspiration and below are the two cards that came out decent.. (Or atleast I think so :) )

The DPs from Paper Mania.
Since I have only two stamp sets, one from "KaiserCraft and other a local find, You might find same stamps in all the cards. I used the sketch TSG-145 for below card

The digi is from Andy, Friend Stamp from Kaisar Craft and the paper is Desert Bloom.
I punched the butterflies from the same paper.
